Premature Birth

I think everyone imagines how traumatic it can be for a couple to have their baby born prematurely and not know whether or not the baby will be alright. Until September 18, 2010, I was only one who was sympathetic to such stories, until my goddaughter Kaydence Sarai Cornett was born premature. She weighed two pounds, five ounces, and she had to have been the prettiest newborn I had the privilege of laying my eyes on. It's amazing how life puts itself into perspective when a new life appears and is at danger the very next second. I am thankful to say that today, July 18, Kaydence is ten months old and is eating stage three foods. She has to be one of the happiest babies I've ever seen. I had a friend ask me, "Why is it so amazing that she's eating this stage three food?" And if only he knew the serious feelings that come with loving a child born prematurely.
